Gas, is often a symptom of indigestion and can develop when we eat too fast or too much. It can also occur because of allergies or enzyme deficiencies, and is a sign that our bodies are not breaking down the foods that we eat. For example, those people whose bodies do not make the enzyme lactase can't adequately digest the sugars in dairy products. The milk sugars in these products then ferment in the colon, causing gas. High-fiber foods can also cause gas, as can beans and cabbage.

Use These Home Remedies for Gas

Home Remedies for Gas #1:
ANTI-GAS TEA #1
1 teaspoon dried angelica root
2 teaspoons peppermint leaves
1 teaspoon bee balm leaves
1 cup boiling water
Combine the herbs in a container. Take one tablespoon of the herb mixture and cover with the boiling water; steep for 20 to 30 minutes; strain. Take as needed.

Home Remedies for Gas #2:

2 teaspoons bee balm leaves
2 teaspoons peppermint leaves
2 teaspoons chamomile flowers cup boiling water
Combine the herbs in a container. Take one tablespoon of the mixture and cover with the boiling water; steep for 3o minutes; strain. Take as needed.

ANTI-GAS TEA #3
1 teaspoon catnip leaves
1 teaspoon grated ginger root
2 teaspoons dandelion leaven
2 cups boiling water
Combine the herbs and cover with the boiling water; steep for 20 to 3o minutes; strain. Take as needed.
