Home Remedies For Fever

Fever is an elevation in body temperature. It's the body's protective mechanism against infection. The elevation in temperature happens when our immune system is fighting off bacteria and viruses that could harm our body. Fever is our strongest weapon in the fight against infections or diseases.

Normal body temperature ranges from 97 to 99 degrees Fahrenheit, but varies throughout the day. Usually is lower in the early morning and higher in late afternoon. A fever is consider to be any temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. One should get concern when temperature raises above 102 degrees Fahrenheit for an adult and 103 degrees Fahrenheit for children. Often, having high temperature is helpful for the body; it's the way the body acts to destroyharmful microbes. In an adult temperatures under 103 degrees fahrenheit encourage the body to create more immune cells. A fever of 104 or higher can be a risk for people with cardiac problems, since it accelerates the heart beat and makes it work harder, and can cause irregular rhythms, chest pain or even hard attack. When a person has had a fever over 106 degrees for a long period of time, can cause dehydration andbrain damage.

Although vigorous exercise, in which the muscles generate heat faster than the body can dissipate it, can cause a temporary rise in temperature.

Home remedies for Fever we recommend:

Home remedies for fever #1: Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body  temperature.

Home remedies for fever #2:Rest as much as possible.

Home remedies for fever #3:Avoid suddenly changes in atmospheric temperatures.

Home remedies for fever #4:Avoid eating solid foods until the fever is gone. You can replace the foods by drinking plenty of distilled water and/or juices.

Home remedies for fever #5:when you have fever do not take any supplement containing either iron or zinc. Taking iron causes great tension in a body that is fighting infection; and zinc is not absorbed by the body when you have fever.

Home remedies for fever #6:Take cool bathes, fill a bath tub, submerge and lay down for 5' approximately. Repeat as needed until the fever is down.

Home remedies for fever #7:If the fever does not exceed 102 degrees let it run its course. It helps the body to fight infection and eliminate toxins.

Home remedies for fever #8:When a child has fever do not give them aspirin, instead try to reduce the fever with cold baths.

home remedies for fever
Hi, great to know i can safely hear great advise from a practioner.
My daughter who is 12, developed a quarter sized sore on her side in circumference to her belly button. It started as a small pimple like red dot and developed into this over a three week period.
She developed a fever today so I was a bit concerned and took her to a hospital and they sent us home saying take tylenol and apply polysporn!!!
Anyway, i did not give her any tylenol and she is sleeping with a cold cloth on her head with an ice bag on top of that.
what do you think?

Skin condition
Hello Janet;

The answer could be in her immune system, some times when defenses are low, small skin conditions or even insect bites become infected due to the low immune response.

fever off and on for 5 days
help my 2 yr old son is having fever for the past 5 days along with constant coughing and his lips are dry. I have tried to give him pedialyte and he does not want it. He has had a little Hi-C, Capri sun, and milk. He has some glod fish and he will only take bites of things here and there. He has not really slept much the 1st 3 1/2 days, but Sunday he was like a zombie and all last night and today he coughed and stayed in his bed. I gave him motrin and Tylenol cough. He is hot, but he will not let me take his temp. What should I do?

Try giving him a luke warm bath, for about 15 minutes. He isnt going to like it but it will help drop the fever. Also if he doesnt want anything to drink try popsicles. It drops the fever and also helps prevent dehydration.

Feverish Child
My 3 1/2old daughter has a fever of 103.1. I gave her otrin and it went down to 100.3. I took her to the hospital but they can't find anything wrong. She is not coughing, her nose is not running, she doesn't have an ear infection and she just laying around and doesn't wan to eat. What exactly can be the problem, if the doctor could not find anything. As I send this message, she still has a fever.

Still looking for ideas
We are on day 2 of the fever - we keep fighting to keep it down. The best thing seems to be Motrin / Tylonal rotating every 2 hours.

Try rubbing rubbing alcohol on ur childs body with a cool damp cloth. I would also poor a little of that into a cool bath. Do not get into childs eyes nor mouth.

Testimonials

"Dear Charles,

Thank you for taking the time to put all of the wonderful home remedies recipes and information into a book!

It is a great resource for me as a great grandmother that cares for a 4 year old granddaughter and a 3 year old great granddaughter during the daytime while their parents work.

Dear Charles:
I just got your Home remedies e-book and I must say it's so easy to navigate, the amount of information is overwhelming and it's written in plain English without any Latin names or technical jargon.

I can't wait until I make my own body lotion and moisturizing cream.

P.S. I love the tips, secrets and shocking statistics and information you give throughout the book.

Hi Charles;

I don't usually write recommendation letters, but I felt that I should congratulate you for your work on the Home Remedies e-book. I have very sensitive skin and when I shave my legs I get a very annoying itch and irritation that last for days.

I tried many creams but they burn my skin and make my irritation worst, After I got your e-book I decided to make your recipe for body cream. The results were unbelievable it goes on smoothly, with no burning sensation, and no irritation, it brings back a silky moist feel that I've never experienced before with any other cream and it last all day without having to re-apply several times.

The amount I have made cost me a few cents and it will last me for about six or seven months.

Thank you for solving my problem with a great product

On your site wild yam root is recommended for morning sickness. I have had a terrible time with morning sickness and had become quite miserable, isolated and depressed that I could not move without feeling like I was going to vomit. I tried the wild yam tincture and I feel so much better! Thank you very much!

Thank you again for the recommendations on morning sickness!
