Home Remedies For Dermatitis

Dermantitis home remedies
Eczema home remedies

As we all know the skin is the largest organ in the body and the most visible, so any condition affecting it is impossible to ignore. The skin is not only exposed to cut, burns, bruises and scrapes, it can also develop diseases just like any other part of the body.

Dermatitis or Eczema is an inflammatory skin condition that produces blisters, redness, scaling, flaking, thickening, weeping, crusting, color changes and itching that can be very annoying. Many times Dermatitis/eczema is allergic in nature mainly by coming in contact with different materials, chemicals or plants, such as, rubber, latex, perfumes, gold, silver, poison ivy, soap, cosmetics etc.

People with thin dry skin are prone to develop dermatitis/eczema and other skin conditions.  Another cause of dermatitis is sensitivity or allergy to some foods. Studies have shown that people with low stomach acid are sensitive to some types of foods thus making them prone to develop some kind of skin disorder.

People suffering from dermatitis/eczema are sensitive to some of the items listed above and should be mindful of their condition and avoid contact with any irritant. Prolonged exposure to the materials may worsen the symptoms and cause the dermatitis to spread.

Another type of eczema called atopic dermatitis (AD) affects the face, elbows and knees it's extremely itchy. Also nummular dermatitis attacks arms and legs and produces circular lesions caused by contact with nickel.

Hi,
My daughter (8 yrs) has extreme Eczema (hereditary), recently she has developed rashes on her inner elbows and inner knee, and small boils (like the prickly heat boils) to an extent she had scaling for over 2 – 3 weeks, and bad wounds with blood. She has been on anti-biotic for 2 weeks, and still it has not come down, she is on anti-allergan every night, as she cannot sleep because of the skin irritation. We have observed that when ever she eats brown chocolate, she develops the rashes, and we have stopped her from any cocoa products. Not sure if some Allergy test would be helpful in proving this, as the child goes through a tough time, when it is any of her friend’s birthday. Recently we have been at the beach, she had severe eczema, not sure if it was the sun or sand or the salt water. Her skin is very sensitive, any bug bites leave a boil/scar and gets infected. Please suggest some remedies for her.

Exma - URGENT help needed!
Hi, I have 17mth old twin daughters who get exma on their legs, esp. behind their knees, one gets it on top of her right hand by her wrist & other gets it inside her elbows. Both have it in blotches all over their legs, arms & backs. I've tried numerous creams from Dr's, probiotics from Health Shops, bathing them in just water & mild soaps, I've stopped using fabric softener on their clothes. I've tried EVERYTHING & nothing seems to wk! Can you suggest something that may help us....My girls don't seem to be bothered about it but coming in to summer (already) people ask whats on their legs & I don't want them getting a complex about it.

I wait in anticipation....

Cheers

eczema
How to alleviate and cure eczema that has appeared on one hand (red spots glossy skin. The contact with chemicals (boxes in the warehouse) at work, stresful long hours of breathing in dust and dirt are likely to have caused this disorder, I am from Serbia and have no visa or diners card. I can only read your advice! Sad!
#7 - Rada - 11/15/2008 - 15:15
Ms
i was diagnosed with dermatitis before i left for an overseas assignment , it was the usual, eczema, scalling, bleeding blisters, itchy spots formed like small coins. I have observed that whenever i am stressed, they get really itchy and whenevr i sweat too much , they get crazy.

Since my main prob was that I am sweaty, (and my infected areas are in the bikini area, i would normally put soft tissue papers as lining on my underwear so that the sweat is absorbed and won't get to my skin.

I also moisturize.

It is very frustrating that over time, they manage to be back. ANd itching is back all over again. My strategies may have worked, but thinking about healing them again and going through the itch makes me feel hopeless.
THE BEST THING? I CANT WEAR TRUNKS ANYMORE!!!

PLease help mE!!!!!!!!!

Eczema on Face
Hello. I am 14 years old and I have had eczema since I was a little girl. I recently noticed a small blotch of very dry and itchy skin on my forehead. It started to spread and is now on my chin, nose, all of forehead and half of jaw line. I put lotion on it every day but it does not seen to be helping. What would be the best thing i can do to help it??? Please help. I'm even embarrassed to go to school now. Help!!

Help.. my daughter has had eczema from birth to 11 years!
My daughter suffers from chronic eczema since she was born. This is a genetic disorder, as I also suffer from this. I have taken her to dermatologists, allergists, doctors, and the National Jewish Hospital, who prescribe steriods and the medicine is stunting her growth. The problem is that any new steriod given will help for 3 months, and then it ends up making her itch and worse or the medicine stings from first contact. I have given her oatmeal baths, eucerin cream, lubriderm, dove soap, coal tar for scaly scalp, nutmeg paste (stings), flax seed oil (internally, externally), vita E externally(stings), dead sea mud (stings), skin zinc (stings), bag balm (stings), over the counter steriod creams, chiropractic treatments, reflexology chiropractic treatments, liquid steriods, electromagnetic therapy, to no avail! I wash her clothes and bedding with just water, and she bathes with water, epsom salts, baking soda. Her skin condition covers her whole body as well as in her scalp and suffers from deep cracks, oozy skin, blisters, pus filled blisters, redness above her eyes, and cracks around her ears. She also itches badly when stressed. The only relief she gets is taking baths frequently and using Kenolog oinment and anithistimine. Currently, I am trying coconut oil for moisture. She did get better when we were in Florida, her skin healed in 2-3 days!
She is also allergic to many foods, which causes inflammation on skin- eggs, oranges, beef, pork, lamb, rice, chicken, preservatives, corn, shell fish, and animals - dogs, cats, horses, cows, rabbits. I use an air purifier in the house to remove allergens as she suffers from asthma off and on and put a vaporizer in her room for moisture.
We do not have pets in the house, or many houseplants.
I am out of options! Please help, I would buy the book, but it seems that whatever treatment is presented, it either makes her skin sting, or itch worse, any suggestions would be welcomed!

Dermatitis, dry skin home remedies

First I would try to boost the immune system; researchers have found that out-brakes of dermatitis lower immunity and at the same time a weaker immune system can be the reason for many skin disorders.

To boost the immune system please follow my instructions and remedies here:

http://www.homemademedicine.com/home-remedies-for-immune-system.html

Second: I would tray to deal with her dry skin using some of the remedies I give here:

http://www.homemademedicine.com/home-remedies-dry-skin.html

Third: Try this homemade remedy for dermatitis:

½ teaspoon of pau d’arco tincture.
½ teaspoon of goldenseal tincture.
8 drops tea tree oil essential oil.
8 drops chamomile essential oil.
2 ounces of a confrey skin salve (this you can buy at any herb store).

Using a toothpick, stir the tincture and essential oils into the salve. This will make the salve semi-liquid. Apply as needed throughout the day.

IMPORTANT HERB FOR SERIOUS SKIN CONDITIONS:
For centuries specialist have regarded the herb Sarsaparrilla as one if not the best herb to treat skin problems, an article published in the New England Journal of medicine many years ago described it as “dramatically” successful in helping cure psoriasis of the skin.

I hope this helps, I know that sometimes is hard to find herbs like I recommend here, but I think it is worth the effort.

This thing is getting on my nerves !!!
hello I'm 35 & about 3 months ago my lower leg was getting kind of dry. I scratch little by little it started to get red & itching. I started getting some coin spots on my back & arms. I try going to a dermatalogist but damm. They weren't taking new applicants & booked. So I went on line. I thought it was wring worms. I then made an appointment to see a doc. He told me it was (dermitidis). He told me I had sensative skin. & perscribe some cream that cost me 80.00 bucks.
My spots got a little lighter. but I'm more of a natural guy.

I need help. I tried pro-biotic's,colon cleanse, pirasites cleanse....I'm starting to give up. This thing could drive a person crazy....

help please what should I do?

To Rob
Whatever you do don't give up. There is a reason for your outbreaks, and you will have to find what that reason is. Have you modified your diet? There may be something that you are eating that is a trigger for you. Or it could be the soap you are using. Also, try using coconut oil for moisture and alleviate itching. HTH.

Hi, I read these peoples cry for help. I would like to share something that was given to me by a Native AMerican woman I met in NMexico. I tried this on my father and his own doctor was in total disbelief. This is not a cure yet helps with anyone suffering with dermatitis or excema (SP?). My father had it around his ear. I was instructed to make a poltice (Small smash-crushed) paste of fresh garlic with it's juice, crushe diced onion and a couple of capsules of echinacea? A few drops of cider vinegar and cream bacatracine creame. I made a coffee filter into the shape of his ear and sealed the otheside portion. as not to have any leakage once the mixture was placed outside. I wrapped the entire outer part of the ear with this homemade contraption. IT looked like a large . THe paste was placed inside as if you were stuffing a taco. and it was placed on his ear overnight.I did this before my dad retired to bed. HE slept with it for 7-8 hours. In the morning it was removed and at night this procedure was repeated. Oh, my gosh after the 3rd time, I could see the area where the inflamation was located had lifted. away from t he ear. I proceeded to take sterllized tweezers and scissors and removed the dead skin. Underneathe we had brand a new pink healthy ear. This was done for three days only. WE returned to his dermotologist and he was amazed. Afterwards we left the ear alone and just took diluted cider vinegar to wipe the new skin. My dad had not had an outbreak in his ear again. This remedy was natural, non toxic and it worked. I asked my dad if he had any sensation while the garlic and onion were on his ear. he commented it felt as if it was tingling but no pain. I wish I had photographed the before and after.
This may help someone with the same situation. ITs worth a try especially if they have oozing or blisters associated with the condition.
Hope this helps. Depending on what part of the body you have a problems, the area can be covered with the surgi tapes that do not allow anything to run or escape from the affected area. GOOD LUCK, hope t his helps.

Testimonials

"Dear Charles,

Thank you for taking the time to put all of the wonderful home remedies recipes and information into a book!

It is a great resource for me as a great grandmother that cares for a 4 year old granddaughter and a 3 year old great granddaughter during the daytime while their parents work.

Dear Charles:
I just got your Home remedies e-book and I must say it's so easy to navigate, the amount of information is overwhelming and it's written in plain English without any Latin names or technical jargon.

I can't wait until I make my own body lotion and moisturizing cream.

P.S. I love the tips, secrets and shocking statistics and information you give throughout the book.

Valery Sanchez

Hi Charles;

I don't usually write recommendation letters, but I felt that I should congratulate you for your work on the Home Remedies e-book. I have very sensitive skin and when I shave my legs I get a very annoying itch and irritation that last for days.

I tried many creams but they burn my skin and make my irritation worst, After I got your e-book I decided to make your recipe for body cream. The results were unbelievable it goes on smoothly, with no burning sensation, and no irritation, it brings back a silky moist feel that I've never experienced before with any other cream and it last all day without having to re-apply several times.

The amount I have made cost me a few cents and it will last me for about six or seven months.

Thank you for solving my problem with a great product

On your site wild yam root is recommended for morning sickness. I have had a terrible time with morning sickness and had become quite miserable, isolated and depressed that I could not move without feeling like I was going to vomit. I tried the wild yam tincture and I feel so much better! Thank you very much!

Thank you again for the recommendations on morning sickness!
